Michael Gorman has received no formal art training, but feels that being self-taught is why his artwork is unique and like none other. He illustrates books professionally and his first priority is that his art reflects the intentions of the writers. He walks the fine line of realizing his own vision without compromising the vision of the writers.

Michael was born in Wisconsin and now lives near Youngstown, Ohio. He is married to Mary Catherine and they have two dogs and a cat.
