Gyenge Tamás lives in Hungary and goes by the name Thomas Infernalien internationally. Born in 1986, he was interested in arts since the childhood, but started drawing at his teenage years. It seemed to be just a hobby, something just to express himself with some black and white drawings. After his first solo exhibition at his high school, it became a more serious interest.

He wanted to improve his skills, so after a lot of practicing, in 2004 he started to study arts in the local college. At these years, he tried and used various tools and learn the technical basics of drawing and painting, using them in his own work as well. Painting was a big challenge at the first time, but it became his favourite techniqe. In 2006, he started to do digital art with photomanipulation and digital paintings. He had many exhibitions (both common and solo) at his country in these years, in various local galleries. Graduated in 2009 as teacher of visual arts with bachelor degree.

In his art he prefers dark and surreal themes since the beginning. Thomas says: ”This is where I find myself, can really be myself and express my feelings, even they are positive or negative. The so-called dark and sick side is also a part of human nature, so I think it has to be the part of art, too.” 

With these dreamlike (or often nightmarish) visions, he wants to create an own world. The ispirations are own thoughts and feelings, sometimes these are his reactions to the external world. But there's a wide spectrum that can inspire him: music, nature and supernatural, life and death and so on...

Nowadays, besides painting and drawing, he still tries new medias. Also deals with photography, flash animation and commercial design. Thomas accepts commissions and requests, and most of his paintings and drawings are for sale. Available for CD and book cover designs too.
