Thomas W. Bossert was born in Lörrach, Germany in 1961. He has been influenced by Dali, Magritte, Giger and other contemporary artists of Phantastic Realism and Visionary Art. He specializes in Surrealism. He has created a blend of organic forms, structures and elements from microcosm with human figures and animals. His works are marked by the processes of growing and dying, analogue to the interwoven existence with the environment and the universe. Bossert regards his pictures as stories and moments which arrise and combine with each other. They become the result of a meditation and entery into another world. Surrealism has allowed him the freedom to transmit the unconscious and dreamlike into his pictures. His primary mediums are acrylic and graphite. Bossert cooperates with other artists in projects (collaborations, Exquisite Corpse). He is a member in several international groups, such as Collaborative Corpse or The Exquisite Corpse (both groups are under Deviantart.com). Due to this, some artworks are Collaborations with the following artists: Bernard Dumaine (Ec with Bernard), Luca Rossi (behind the wall/ gaia) and Marc Gosselin (forbitten fruit). Some of his works may also be seen in the VisionaryArtGallery, an international online portal for creators of fantastic and visionary art. You can see more of his work HERE
