THE STORM HUNT

Lightning splits the dark canvas
Hooves thunder across the sky
Sparks flying as hooves strike clouds
The Hunt crosses the heavens
Seeking sinful souls
Their prey flee across storm-wracked countryside
Desperate to escape or hide
But knowing there is no respite
The Hunt never fails
No sanctuary, not even on holy ground
The hounds will burst in, eyes blazing
And tear their souls away
Until finally the storm fades
Dark clouds dissipate
Revealing bright stars
Gazing down upon a torn and sodden land
Yearning for peace

CONNECTION

Enter the room
Where the chills and touches are felt
Mind seems to slip back
Form a connection
Brushing against a mind, memories
Fleeting yet ever present
Reliving, replaying
A moment from centuries past
Caught like a fly in amber
Then…the moment is gone

REPEATING

Past events replay
Repeating, repeating
Like a movie
Imprinted on stone
Running on a loop
Re-enacting dark deeds
From years before
Terrifying visions
Run away! Run away!
Don’t interact!
Who knows what will happen
Should you intervene
Interrupt the horror show…

DOORS

Strangest thing
Since I moved here
Though I live alone
A growing certainty
I’ve closed more doors
Than I’ve ever opened
