ART BY ROLF

Rolf has loved to draw and paint as long as he can remember. He started to make 'serious' art in his early 20s. In those years, he was inspired by surrealism and especially H.R.Giger, painted mostly with airbrush and had the first exhibitions. Later he switched to arcrylics and tried various other styles, reaching from realism to rough abstract paintings.

In the early 2000s, he started to experiment with digital painting, first with focus on illustration, but then he slowly came back to horror art. Like many other artists (and creative people from other areas) the recent AI mess has pushed him a bit into a crisis. But it seems like more and more people do appreciate handmade art again, so there's hope.
