Worker installing air conditioning finds secret room in Florida home: Was it a hide-out from the police?

UPI, October 6, 2017:

A worker switching out an air conditioning system at a Florida house shared video of a "secret room" he discovered that might have once hidden a murderer.

The video, recorded last month, shows the worker walking around the Plant City home and giving a tour of the secret room he found behind a false wall in the attic over the garage.

"I found a piece of wall that didn't look the same as the rest. I pushed on the wall revealing a secret room. Leading to the secret room was a carpeted walkway. When the secret rooms door was closed it didn't even look like it was there," the man wrote.

The room, which is carpeted, features stained wood walls, license plates hung up as apparent decoration, and even a makeshift toilet.

"There was a very grim of feeling about the place," the man wrote.

He said someone who saw the video sent him information indicating the room might have once been used by Dee Dee Miller, who was convicted in 2012 of swindling and murdering a lottery winner.

"I'm not sure what the secret room was used for, but if I had to guess I would guess it was from hiding out from the police," the man wrote.

Who is Dee Dee Moore?

dee dee

DeeDee Moore, the Tampa woman accused of swindling and then killing lottery winner Abraham Shakespeare, was found guilty of first degree murder and other charges, after she declined to take the stand and the defense rested without calling a single witness. Ms. Moore did not testify.

Authorities say Shakespeare, 47, was shot twice in the chest by a .38-caliber pistol sometime in April 2009. He wasn't reported missing until November 2009. His body was found under a slab of cement in a backyard in January 2010.

Polk County authorities claim Moore offered someone a $200,000 house in exchange for reporting a false sighting of Shakespeare. She also allegedly sent the victim's son $5,000 in cash for his birthday, and used the victim's cellphone to send text messages purportedly from him.

On November 9, 2009, Shakespeare's family reported him missing, stating that they had not seen him since April of that year. Family and friends had originally hoped that he had taken his money and was living on a beach in the Caribbean Sea. A tip-off led investigators to the backyard of Moore's boyfriend Shar Krasniqi, where Shakespeare's body was found buried in five feet of dirt under a newly constructed concrete slab. Shakespeare was 43.

Hillsborough County detectives say Shakespeare died April 6 or 7 in the single-story ranch home in Plant City. Police took Moore into custody on February 2, 2010, in connection with the murder of Shakespeare and a judge set a $1 million bond. She was charged with being an accessory after the fact in first-degree murder. Police state Moore tried to convince an acquaintance to unearth the body and move it a week after the death, and continued to try to convince others that Shakespeare was still alive. On February 19, 2010, Dorice Donegan Moore was arrested on a charge of first degree murder.

I HAVE TWO QUESTIONS: ONE, IF DEE DEE MOORE WAS HIDING IN THAT ROOM, WHY WAS THERE A MEN'S ROOM? TWO, WHAT EVIDENCE DOES THE WORKER HAVE THAT IT WAS INDEED MS. MOORE?
