MY WELL-WISHERS

Bliss—
I find it only among the dead,
In the graveyard close to my home.
Whether in the day or dark of the night.
I wander over there,
Never once looking over my shoulder.

My true friends:
Buried deep,
Six feet under,
Lying there,
Facing up.

When I speak,
They listen,
None challenge me.

When I put my ear
To the grassy soil,
I just about hear their voices;
Vibrations of agreement.

AGHORI

Lives there a sect so fierce,
Free from disgust,
Free from fear,
Feared by all.

Their abode—the cremation ground,
Their attire—cremated ash,
Their hair—long and matted.
A skull bowl catches their offerings,
Their hunger—satisfied by human flesh.

Meditation and mantras,
Rotting corpses—their seat.

Deep into the night,
They intoxicate their soul with cannabis,
Dancing, shouting, screaming,
Mingling with tormented souls.

Offerings of meat and alcohol,
Thrown into a fire, so sacred,
To their please their god, Bhairav,
Giver of boons.

Such is the path of the Aghori Sadhus,
Which mortal or ghost can come in their way?

SAME OLD, SAME OLD

I look in all directions,
But see the same everywhere,
It’s never totally blissful,
Never totally hellish.
Every achievement’s followed by failure,
Tears of happiness,
Flow into tears of sorrow.
Where’s that big change?
That change we all seek,
Will there even be an end result?
Or does it just go on?
Stuck in the same crap.
Many call it life,
I call it purgatory,
The search for salvation continues…

RECLUSE

Shut up!
Go away!
Leave me alone!
I said, go!
Now!!!
Oh, crap, they actually left…

UM…

This horror poem is short,
Because I ran out of thoughts.

But writers block is pretty tough.
I think that’s scary enough.
