Dimitra Papadimitriou is a digital artist from Greece. She was born (and grew up) in Piraeus/Athens and currently living in Kos, a beautiful Greek Dodecanesse island.

She studied at the University of Athens, political science and public administration but since she can remember, painting has always been a passion. She has also studied the art of stained glass (Vitrail).

Dimitra first got into digital art before she was seventeen. Her mind was instantly blown the first time she realized what can be created digitally

For the most part, she is a self-taught digital artist. The magical internet and specialized books or magazines was the greatest resources for learning digital art during those years. Being self-taught allowed her to absorb and interpret things in my own way.

Lately she works mainly in Photoshop although also in Illustrator and Painter. She loves photomanipulation and digital painting and often combines both of them.

Dimitra is grateful and honored that her artwork has been featured multiple times and in a number of publications, including digital graphics magazines. She has had two art exhibitions at the Municipal Art Gallery in Piraeus.

She believes that art is an amazing feeling and creation is a way of living. She can’t imagine existing without being able to express herself through creating. It is a ‘microbe’ that has followed her since she was a little child. The art and the creation fills her life with euphoria and completeness. It is an ecstatic experience!
